Nancy Glenn

Legion has been blessed with a multitude of experienced, talented, and gifted neutrals. Our panel of neutrals serve our clients with the virtues of integrity and honor. Nancy Glenn’s leadership virtues are displayed in all of her actions, but her devotion and commitment to seeing a matter through to the end is especially noteworthy. Perhaps Nancy’s focus on commitment stems from her status as a legal legacy.

Nancy, a native Atlantan, always knew she wanted to be a lawyer like her father. She began her secondary education at University of Georgia where she graduated summa cum laude. With impressive academic credentials, she earned a scholarship to Emory University School of Law. At Emory, Nancy excelled graduating in the top 10% of her class and being selected to both the Order of the Barristers and the Order of the Coif. Upon graduation, Nancy accepted a position at the prestigious Atlanta firm of Alston & Bird.

EXPERIENCE

As an associate in the litigation department of an enormous law firm, Nancy gained a wide variety of experience in the practice areas of construction litigation, zoning, and insurance defense. While Nancy also learned of the benefits of intense, specialized training provided by a big law firm, she contemporaneously gained an appreciation for the benefits of practicing in a closer knit community. After a few years of big firm life, Nancy left behind the crowds and traffic of the big city and joined her dad at his law practice in Gainesville.

In Gainesville, for more than twenty-five years, Nancy’s practice has focused on workers’ compensation, personal injury, social security disability and long -term disability claims. Nancy excels at providing compassionate representation with strategic legal thinking. Over the years, Nancy developed a specialty in complex, catastrophic work injuries, involving medical, legal and vocational issues. She has tried countless workers’ compensation claims all over Georgia. Nancy is a frequent speaker at workers’ compensation seminars and her expertise is widely admired.

Having been involved in countless mediations as an advocate, Nancy knew she had something to offer as a mediator. In 2007, she completed mediation training at Henning Mediation in Atlanta and has been working as a  mediator ever since. Nancy has a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and she excels at connecting with litigants on both sides of a case. Her approach is to help both sides take a fresh look at their positions and work to find a point of resolution acceptable to all parties.

PERSONAL

Nancy is married to Gainesville native Kip Ladd, and they have three adult sons. Appropriately, Nancy’s oldest son, Oliver Ladd is a graduate of University of Georgia School of Law and Nancy is delighted to call Oliver her law partner as the legal legacy continues. When Nancy is not working, Nancy and Kip enjoy traveling, hiking the North Georgia Mountains, and spending time with their family.

If your dispute needs a neutral with not only extensive experience, but the character to lead the parties to resolution, schedule Nancy Glenn.
